OUR APPROACH
We believe that delivering a sustainable pension fund is in the best long-term interests of all our stakeholders. To deliver this, we require our delegated investment manager, LPPI, to integrate environmental, social and governance considerations into all investment decisions.
Our overall approach to responsible investment is described within our Responsible Investment Policy, which we have supplemented with a separate and complementary Climate Change Policy.
As a long-term responsible investor, we have identified the investment risks associated with the climate emergency as a key focus for the Fund. The Climate Change Policy sets out our approach to managing these risks. We require LPPI to take steps to ensure that the level of exposure to climate change risk is evaluated and managed.
