WE’RE COMMITTED TO NET ZERO

We are committed to managing the risks posed by climate change. 

We’ve published a climate change policy since 2017 and now we want to show how we will achieve our ambition to become net zero by 2050. 

Our net zero emissions aspiration is the next step in maintaining the long-term financial sustainability of our Fund, protecting our members’ financial future and being a responsible investor.

CLIMATE ACTION PLAN

Our Investor Climate Action Plan 2022 sets out how we are going to reduce all the greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from all the assets in the Fund to net zero by 2050. We are focusing initially on equities (shares in companies that are publicly traded), because this is largest part of our portfolio – and also because listed companies generally publish more comprehensive data. We’re working to set targets for our other asset classes as quickly as possible.
